In this paper, a comparative analysis of the microstructure and macroscopicproperties about three three kinds of acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR3308,NBR1042and NBR6280) was studied. And the application of NBR3308in foamproducts was studied based on its structure and properties.The analysis of comparing the microstructure showed that the glass transitiontemperature range of NBR3308was the widest. Binding the GPC analysis, themolecular weight distribution of NBR3308was wide. The thermal gravimetric analysisshowed that the decomposition temperature of NBR3308and NBR1042was high.Itindicated that thermal stability of NBR3308was relatively better. From the content ofweightlessness residual, it showed that the inorganic additive content of NBR3308and NBR1042was higher than NBR6280. From the NMR spectra analysis, the orderof acrylonitrile content could be got: NBR3308> NBR6280> NBR1042. The cis-1,4butadiene content of NBR3308was slight and the content of1,2-structure was lowerthan the other two.The analysis of performance comparison showed that NBR3308had the bestfluidity and its cure time was between NBR6280and NBR1042. Its tensile strengthand elongation at break was also between the other two.The compression ratio wasminimum and hardness was maximum.After immersion oil, hardness of three glue hadthe same chang. NBR3308had the least change on the quality.The change of tensilestrength and breaking elongation was between the other two.The study on NBR3308foaming properties showed that NBR3308had goodprocessing performance.Its density was low, foam cell was large and uniform, andwas much better than NBR1042on the foaming properties.The effects of ratio ofrubber and plastics,curing system, foaming system,reinforcing system and plasticizingsystem on the NBR/PVC foaming properties was studied. With the increase of theamount of S, the density of the foamed material was increased. And with the increase of the amount of AC, the density of the foamed material was linearly decreased. Thedensity is no longer affected by the amount of blowing agent when it was more than18phr. With the increase of carbon black particle size, the density of the foamed materialshowed a decreasing trend. N990had poor reinforcing properties, and intensity of theresulting product was low. N660carbon black is more appropriate for foam products,the foam products had good strength and low density.With the increase of the amountof carbon black, the density of the foamed material was increased. With the increase ofthe amount of TOTM, the density of the foamed material was increased when theamount was within40phr.The effect of the dynamic cure processing on the NBR foaming properties wasstudied. With S content increasing, the gel content increased. With the increase ofpre-vulcanizing degree, the density of the foamed material was firstly decreased thenincreased. SEM displayed full foam cell walls and a hierarchical structure of the foam.
