Low-grade bauxite in China is mainly a type of diaspore bauxite, with the rapid development of China’s alumina industry, alumina ore grade of enterprise use reduced year by year. This paper studies on low grade bauxite using the Bayer process alumina low recovery rate, sintering high energy consumption and process for the series overall energy consumption of such resources. Through the series of Bayer France and sintering processes in the main section of the material flow and energy analysis have been related to the following conclusions:(1)With the improvement of quality of ore, Bayer process of law in tandem to increase the proportion of high-grade bauxite Bayer process of increasing energy consumption, when the mineral A/S changes from2to10, the use of series of such minerals in the treatment of total energy consumption in the Bayer process has5059MJ up to7446MJ;(2) Using series process for Guangxi, Guizhou, Henan, Shandong bauxite in the Bayer process, the total energy consumption of minerals were5068MJ,5950MJ,6339MJ and6585MJ;(3) Analysis of the different Al-Si series method than sintered bauxite in the process of material flow and energy consumption, the results show:with the gradual increase in ore grade, the sintering process to reduce energy consumption, but the process of sintering of alumina production gradually decreased, and without considering the loss of impurities and process, the quality of sintered alumina unit energy consumption of the product gradually increased, when ore A/S to2, per unit mass of energy consumption during the sintering process of alumina products was about55MJ, but when the crude ore A/S for10, the energy consumption increased to107MJ, ascension is nearly1 times.(4) With the increased use of fossil-grade alumina production in series the overall energy consumption is falling, and declines greatly, when the mineral taste varies between2and10, the ore Al-Si ratio of2, the total energy consumption for using series method to deal with minerals is over18000MJ, mineral Al-Si ratio of10, the total energy consumption for using a series method to deal with of minerals was about12000MJ.(5)Using series process for Guangxi, Guizhou, Henan, Shandong, the total energy consumption of minerals were10336MJ,12305MJ,13992MJ and16485MJ.
