In order to meet the need of the refined oil market, to improve the quality of refined oil, and improve the Chinese petroleum refining level, deep vacuum distillation technology was used in the atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit in abroad. But in domestic, deep vacuum distillation temperature is generally rather high than other coutries which is restrict to the development of China’s refining industry. Based on these existing problems in the equipment and utilities to revamp the refinery, Sinopec Wuhan Branch atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit has been improved by the analysis of the device data to the existing technology. Under the situation of deep drawing of device output, the effects to deep drawing operation on the device of catalytic cracking, hydrocracking, delayed coking, the nature of raw materials was introduced, at the same time, the development of independent deep vacuum distillation was researched.This paper studies on the applications of deep vacuum distillation technology on the Sinopec Wuhan Branch atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit1. Through the researches on deep vacuum distillation technology by using software simulation, it is conclued that the improved design about the structure of the vacuum distillation tower the implementation of deep vacuum distillation properties of raw materials, some results was gotten as followings:1.Atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit was reformed to deep vacuum distillation, it can improve the yield and product quality of products, and the same time it can reduce the energy consumption,.2.Under the condition of the deep vacuum distillation, the yield of product can reached416t/h, device operating is smoothly.3. Product quality has no changes before and after the innovation, all qualities of product are qualified.4. Comparation to vacuum distillation and non-vacuum distillation, light products yield is increased by2-3%, residue yield dropped1-2%. The process of deep vacuum distillation is rather economic and energy conservation.
