Welding technology is the essential advanced manufacture technology in the modern industrial production process and widely used in construction, Bridges, ships, automotive, aerospace, and all kinds of metal structure and other industrial production departments. However, in the process of welding process produces a large number of welding fume and harm the worker’s health. Therefore, the study on the management of welding fume technology and equipment, have important practical significance.Based on the analysis of the produce process, characteristics and harm of the welding fume, the theory of welding fume capturing has been studied and the design scheme of the mobile welding fume filter is put forward. The optimal one of filter canister filtering products was determined by comparing the three design schemes, and the whole filter, dust hood, body of the filter, dust collection slot, dust, tubeplate were designed detailed. Then the samble of the filter were produced. The filter has convenient, economy, mobility and practicability of the features. In addition,the resitance characteristic,the air volume and the filter efficiency based on the talcum powder were tested.The results of experiments showed that the rated processing air volume of the filter is1760m3/h,the filtration efficiency is98.2857%, and the results meet the design requirements.
