EBA is used widely as a lubricant in plastics and rubber. As a indispensable lubricant in the production of ABS,the demand of EBA is increasing, because of ABS capacity increased.There is a EBA production facility that2000tons a year in fine chemical factory of jilin petrochemical company. On the base, it is expanded to4500tons a year. In this paper, the expansion process plan is carefully studied. The problems that existing in the melting unit、 synthesizing unit-.granulating unit, were optimized and improved. It was calculated to the heat transfer coefficients of the melting kettle in melting unit%the reaction kettle in synthesis unit, and determined the structure、heating methods of the kettle; adjusting the reaction temperature; improving the heating system; improving the granulating spray. In addition, the automation plan is also optimized and improved, averaging up the automation level、reducing the labor intensity. After the above improvements, the product quality and yield are greatly improved.In this paper, based on the function provided by the software(Fluent),and standard k-ε turbulence model and multi-reference flame method, the flow fields in the reaction kettle with six blades turbine-agitator were simulated.According to the plan studied in this paper, the engineering plan were finished at the end of2012, and was put into operation. After transforming,the color and yield of EBA have met the market demands.
