Coal is the main fuel of Chinese power plants. Under the requirements of environment sector, a growing number of coal-fired power plants install desulfurization equipment. Under the "recycle" trend, how to reuse the desulfurization fly ash will undoubtedly become an increasingly important issue. The quantity of waste glass from Chinese household is huge, in addition to recycling and re-melting it to manufacture glass products there is almost no other means, so to find other ways to make use of waste glass also has important significance. In this condition of society and resource, to study on foam glass with the desulfurization fly ash and waste glass as the main raw material has great environmental and economic benefits. It not only accords to the demand of resources recycling, makes transformation of desulfurization fly ash and waste glass from industrial residues to mineral resources by technological innovation, but also reduces secondary pollution and costs, increases revenue. In this experiment, to prepare foam glass used desulfurization fly ash and waste cullet as the main raw material, adding appropriate foaming agents and stabilizers, under the suitable temperature system by powder sintering method. The factors to influent the performance of foam glass has been analyzed by the determination of its indicators, such as density and porosity, compressive strength and thermal conductivity. The best formula and firing system were determined. The experimental results show that:using desulfurization fly ash and waste glass as main raw material could manufacture foam glass with calcium iron peridot (CaFeSiO4) and wollastonite (α-Ca3Si3O9). The factors, such as variety and quantity of foaming agents and stabilizer agents, foaming and sintering temperature and time would impact the performance of foam glass. The impact of foaming temperature is most obvious. The analysis found that in a certain temperature range, with the increasing of foaming temperature, the compressive strength and bulk density of foam glass firstly increased and then decreased, but the trend of porosity is opposite.According to the experiment, the best formula is that:desulfurization fly ash20.0wt%, waste glass80.0wt%, sodium carbonate7.5wt%, carbon powder2.5wt%, sodium phosphate 1.5wt%and boric acid3.0wt%. The best temperature system:from room temperature rise to500℃under the rate of5℃/min and keep the temperature for60min, then rise to830℃under the rate of10℃/min and maintain60min, rise to950"C under the rate of10℃/min and maintain60min, finally naturally chilled with the furnace. The performance of the best sample: the bulk density is1.089g/cm3, porosity is56.12%, compressive strength is30.1MPa and thermal conductivity is0.101W·m-1℃-1.
