Currently, equal-height spiral bevel gear are used more and more widely inthe area of aviation industry, seafaring and machine tool, especially for the rearaxle of automobile, but its manufacturing technology has been monopolized byforeign countries, resulting in a higher generate costs for gear manufacturers, andwait in hope for localization of equal-height spiral bevel gear, this research alsofill the internal gap for this project.This research subject is cooperation projects with companies "cuttingmechanism and design and development of precision and sophisticated tool." Themain contents is design principles of equal-height spiral bevel gear milling cutterfor dry cutting,structural design of cutter head and research of experiment ofkey manufacturing technology.Firstly, equal-height spiral bevel gear milling cutter for dry cutting, thisproducts manufacturing technology has been monopolized by foreign countries,So combining with the development of domestic and foreign literature on itsstructure and advantages, do describe and contrast, peer high arc tooth wimblegear milling cutter was analyzed, and the development present situation and thedynamic.Secondly, based on knowledge of basic geometric of space surface andanalysis of meshing tooth surfaces, we will research meshing principle and thenget the principle of gear machining.Thirdly, elaborate design principles of equal-height spiral bevel gearmilling cutter for dry cutting, design structure of cutter head and blade,optimizing the clamping structure of blade, create a mathematical model of cutterhead, blade and cutting edge.Then, research the key manufacturing technology of equal-height spiralbevel gear milling cutter for dry cutting, that is welding technology of cutter body and cutter ring, design welding experiment plan, do welding test, weldbeam inspection, analysis experimental data, determine the welding parameters.Finally, develop the milling cutter, elaborate a series of process ofmanufacture of gears, sharpening and testing of blade, manufacture gears,testingof gear, in order to test and verify the design equal-height spiral bevel gearmilling cutter for dry cutting, make sure that can applicable to the presentproduction needs and product requirements.From the principle of gear meshing to principle of manufacture gear, froma mathematical model creating to the key manufacturing technologyresearching, through the actual manufacturing to verify the availability of thedesign milling cutter. Based on the above studies, provide a milling cutter forequal-height spiral bevel gear cutting,it provides some reference for the futureequal-height spiral bevel gear machining.
