Hydraulic decoking is a significant method which is decoking widely used in delayedcoking process. It operating principle is using a pump pressured recycled water to20MPa,than,sprayed in the coke tower. This technology can break off the coke in the coketower and clean out the coke in the end.At present the problem of this method is: the way thatthe operator judge whether or not the decoking work is finished is through observing theamount of coke in the water which flow out from bottom of the tower and listening the voicechanging in the process in domestic delayed coking unit.But hydraulic decoking is continuingmore than3hours,which can cause operator hearing loss and then influence thejudgement.Adverse weather conditions especially the heavy fog weather can effect operatorsjudging the process. With the green coke cycle shortened,the operators need working in thenight,bad sight line and physical decline lead to judge the process hardly.Through studying the decoking process, we find that we can analyse the signal strength ofthe coke tower to judge the hydraulic decoking status. According to this phenomenon,thispaper puts forward a method to detect the decoking work status through sensors that installedon the coke tower. And the signal of the decoke tower will be analysed by the computer toshow weather or not the decoking work is finished.Considering the demand of manufacture and according the hydraulic decokingtechnological requirements, this paper developed the full-automatic detecting systemprogram.The design of the main contents hardware system and expert analysissystem.Hardware system is comprised by vibration sensor and dynamic signal analyzer. Thevibration sensor collecting the data,then,sent to computer to analyse that can got hydraulicdecoking condition.Finally, the system is debugged in Sinopec Luoyang Branch. The test results show thatthis system can work well and it reached the expected effect.
