The Effect Of Environmental Regulations On International Trade In Zhejiang Province

With the rapid economic development, environmental issues have begun to be concerned by people. The governments all over the world made all sorts of environmental regulations which have effects on both themselves and other countries. Environment issues are combining with international trade in the nowadays. As a big export province, Zhejiang has to take some measures to face this situation. At this background, this paper uses qualitative and quantitative methods to study the effect of international trade with international trade and environmental regulation in theory. Contents are as follows:Firstly, the paper in which we summary and analysis relevant studies of environment and trade issue introduces some concepts and theories in the two areas. Secondly, this paper explains the transmission mechanism. Thirdly, the current situations of environmental regulation and international trade have been introduced. In addition, build index systems for environmental regulation and international trade separately. Lastly, use empirical methods to study the effect of environmental regulation on international trade. What’s more, based on the results that environmental regulation has a positive impact on exports, this paper has put some proposals from the perspective of business and Government respectively.
