Carbon industry is the foundation of the national key support raw materialsindustry, the graphite electrode is irreplaceable in the process of iron and steelindustry steelmaking conductive materials. Graphite electrode to replace copperelectrode is inevitable trend. The graphite electrode has a lot of advantage, such ashigh machining precision, electrode consumption of small, high temperature resistant,etc. Graphite electrode may occur some problems in the production process,likecrack,internal voids.It is difficult to judge the defect of graphite electrode internal situation,aiming atthe question,based on ARM9processor S3C2440, this paper developed a kind ofgraphite electrode defect audio detection system. Through signal processing anddata acquisition and comparing the processed signal spectrum analysis with nondestructive, obtaining the detection result. The overall system controlled by S3C2440, thereis no need to tap the hammer, and the measuring result can be obtained quickly andaccurately,avoiding the drawbacks that workers judge the quality of graphite electrodethrough ears. Through the test and results of circuit analysis, verify the feasibility ofthe system,and has a good application prospect.
