As final machining process, surface finishing technology has importantinfluence on part or product quality, performance, service life etc. In themechanical processing, hole processing account for a significant proportion oftotal machining, but due to the structural characteristics of the hole, manyexisting finishing processing method can not be applied to its surface finishingprocessing with high efficiency and low cost. Eddy current surface finishing as anew processing technology developed in recent decades, compared to otherfinishing technology has some significant advantages. such as strong workingendurance态high efficiency and easy to realize automation, but it also has somelimitations. For example, it is only applicable to outer surface finishingprocessing of small and medium-sized parts. In this paper, according to thestructural characteristics of the large-size direct hole, a new large-size direct holedynamic eddy current surface finishing processing method is proposed bythe enlightenment of wall wear in the traditional eddy current surface finishingprocessing. Main research contents are as follows:1. The structure of traditional eddy current surface finishing device isimproved again, which expand the scope of application of eddy current surfacefinishing, So that it can be applied to large-size direct hole surface finishing.2. The processing mechanism of dynamic eddy current surface finishing is introduced, and the force and movement of abrasive processing are analyzed andsimulated respectively.3. By three-dimensional discrete element method, the dynamic model andcontact model of dynamic eddy current surface finishing are establishedrespectively, and EDEM software is used to simulate the movement of abrasiveunder the condition of processing. By analyzing abrasive velocity, contact forceand contact number between abrasive and surface of part,the effects of differentprocessing parameters on the abrasive movement and the finishing effect arediscussed.4. In order to analyze the influence of different factors on the processing,major effect factors, such as rotational speed, machining time and abrasivediameter are studied by orthogonal experiment, and the optimal processingparameters are obtained.In this paper, the influence of different parameters on the media motionunder dynamic eddy current surface finishing is analyzed by the discreteelement EDEM software system, and the processing parameters on the effects ofsurface finishing are analyzed theoretically. Research results further deepen thedynamic eddy current surface finishing theory, which provides theory basis todesign dynamic eddy current surface finishing machine and optimize processingparameters; on the other hand, numerical simulation can replace a large numberof complex experiments, shorten the design period and improve efficiency,which must be of great importance for the further development and industrialapplications of eddy current surface finishing.
