When using grinding gear hob gear machining, can make be cut processing gear wheel produces a certain amount of gear tooth root, So before grinding gear hob is widely applied in high precision rough machining of hard tooth surface gear. As the root cutting too shallow or too deep will be conducive to gear grinding after the performance, this requires good control gear root cutting quantity. Because is grinding hob tooth profile parameters determine the root of the gear tooth root processed cutting quantity, therefore by optimizing design before grinding hob tooth shape, reasonable by processing gear root cutting quantity.At first, this thesis expounds the generating principle and the principle of conjugate curve, and use the gear hobbing principle and the principle of conjugate curve, established the mathematical model of grinding gear hob processing, and get the profile equation of hob paragraphs and processing gear profile equation. And through reducing material method, the optimization design of grinding hob tooth shape parameters, reasonable grinding hob tooth profile, to achieve the gear tooth gear grinding gear after the root of the dangerous section radius of curvature as large as possible, grinding tooth profile of gear tooth root transition curve and after-grinding involute smooth connection and conform to the demands of the effective length of involute, etc; before the final compiled by Matlab about grinding hob tooth profile, and then through the example analysis, tooth shape parameters optimization results are obtained.This thesis mainly studies the gear tooth profile processed and the relationship between grinding hob tooth profile parameters, the parameters of the grinding gear hob tooth profile optimization design, to ensure the rationality of the gear tooth profile and tool durability requirements.
