Hardened Gears have already applied on the various machine tools and the fields of engineering machine, watercraft, vehicle, spaceflight and so on. The study of hardened gears took quite development on rigidity, surface strength, remains stress, yield strength, fatigue capability and noise at the present time, they are regarded more and more especially on the ways of machining precision and manufacture efficiency.The technology of ausform finishing process that integrates the technology of heat treatment, hardening of steel components and tooth profile machining into a single in-line manufacturing operation. With high precise roll finishing machine, the heating gear is hot roll finished. The hot roll finishing process plastically deforms the surface of a steel component, generates compressive residual stresses in the surface layer and added strength and durability to the component, and obtains the demanded of dimension preciseness.Firstly, the developing trend of domestic and abroad gear technology is analyzed, the present condition on gear machining tool is expatiated, and the merits and demerits of precise finishing process of hardened gears which is used domestic and abroad are analyzed. Then, feasibility of applying ausform finishing process is demonstrated.Secondly, the theory and the technology of ausform finishing process for hardened gears are studied and demonstrated farther, its characteristics are analyzed and its key technologies are pointed out. Then some of its important technology problems are put forward and solved.Then, the rolling methods of this paper are analyzed and demonstrated, the optimal project is pointed out, and the experiment furnishment is devised and studied. Machining accuracy, machining error and its affection factors of gear in this paper are discussed, then hot rolling gear is analyzed accurately by effect of variety of tooth surface contact number to rolling gear profile error and thermal deformation to machining precision.At last, Three-dimensional modeling and finite element analysis of the Ausform finishing gear is achieved by UG and ANSYS. Extrusion stress is affording stress of gear tooth reach to plastic yield, it is pointed out under the rigidity that rolling extrusion equipment can realize, and contacting analysis of a couple gears is achieved by ANSYS.
