In recent years, along with strategic change from “Made in China” to“Created in China” in our country, the requirement of high precision on thesurface of the mechanical products is put forward. Theory and technology ofsurface finishing was rapidly developed and many new surface finishingtechnology was born. Magnetic abrasive finishing, which is through additionalmagnetic field to attract abrasive, is a new advanced method in order to improvethe parts surface integrity. It form “flexible magnetic brush” to improve thesurface integrity of components. Now, there are many ways to improve thecomplex curved surface integrity, but good processing technique is lacked.Aiming at above problems, explore a new type of precision finishing grindingtool for viscoelastic magnetic abrasive, with good properties of strong grindingability, good self-sharpening grinding, less cutting heat, high machiningaccuracy, good finishing performance of aluminum alloy and other softmaterials. It’s glossiness is obviously improved and has wide applications.1. According to the characteristics of the viscoelastic magnetic abrasive,this paper made sure it belonged to non-newtonian fluid, expounded rheologicalphenomenon and the rheological characteristics of the viscoelastic fluid andprovided a theoretical basis for the movement and force analysis of abrasive infinishing processing. The main composition of grinding tool was also introducedin this paper, analyzed their respective role, put forward some requirements onthe performance of the grinding tool.2. The mathematical model of abrasive was established, abrasive viscosity and shear stress formula was deduced and the single abrasive stress wasanalyzed in the whole process of finishing. According to the tribology andprecision cutting knowledge, expounded the mechanism of abrasive finishingmachining.3. The common preparation process was introduced, which lead to theviscoelastic advantages in preparation of magnetic abrasive. It concluded thatboron polymer as the substrate of abrasive finishing performance was good,which could increase the workpiece surface roughness three levels, throughcomparing with the methyl silicone and a boron polymer matrix from twoaspects of viscosity and comparison and combining the6061aluminum alloyplate experiment.4. The technological parameters for the flat magnesium and aluminum alloyplate are found out. The author found out the influence of various factors on thatthrough the design experiment and abrasive ingredients in the good matchingresult was: iron powder and silicon carbide mesh to100mesh, mass ratio of2:1,the processing time is15~18min, the roughness of the workpiece surface was1.10microns down to0.07um, finishing effect is good.5. Abrasive saturated magnetic induction intensity was measured is0.23T,Inner hole surface movement parameters influences were analyzed, singlevariable experiment was designed to show that: in the solutions of workpiecerotation and axial vibration and the polarity of the stationary, the best effect waswhen the rotating speed was600r/min,6061aluminum alloy on the surface ofthe inner hole roughness was down from0.827microns to0.342microns.Through the above explored, it concluded that viscoelastic magneticabrasive preparation method is simple, the processing effect is good, applicationprospect is high and play a crucial role in the promotion of processingtechnology.
