Corn straw waste is a kind of most abundant biomass in the world. It can be used for fuel-ethanol production after being pretreatment, fermentation and hydrolysis. Ethanol is a kind of widely used chemical material. It can be added into the gasoline or as a new fuel. Also it was named cleaning resources. The present stage, ethanol was fermented mainly from starch raw material. But this method definitely difficultly to meet the population increasing. Therefore using low-cost straw to produce fuel ethanol has already became an inevitable trend. The usual methods of pretreatment have the disadvantages of high cost and pollution. In this dissertation, a new kind of method of pretreating corn straw and hydrolysis of liquefied products were investigated.Using liquefying technique to pretreat corn straw and separate the cellulose and the lignin. The effects of reaction temperature, reaction time and phenol-to-corn straw ratio on the content of cellulose of liquefy production were investigated. The results show that reaction temperature: 100℃, reaction time: 90mins, the catalyst of 98% sulfuric: lmmol/g(for desiccated corn straw), liquefy ratio 3:l(mphenol- mcorn straw), Under this condition the content of cellulose of the liquefied products is 68.8%, the content of lignin would decrease to 4.3%. The granularity of cellulose was decreased obviously from 300pm to 10p.m. there were many holes on the coarse surface of cellulose by experiment of SEM. The analyses of FTIR show that the chemical structure of cellulose wasn’t changed.Using sulfuric acid to hydrolysis liquefied products in order to producing sugar, The effects of reaction temperature, reaction time and dilute/ concentrated acid concentration, liquid-to-solid on the content of sugar were investigated. Get a conclusion that the best condition were 50°C, liquid-solid ratio 20:1 (ml/g), the concentration of concentrated sulfuric acid 70%, 60mins. Under this condition the content of deoxidization sugar of products will reached to 31.76%.
