The development and application of the workover rig carrier can enable the equipment integrated more perfectly, and together with its good moving and operating capacity, to get the goal of reducing working cost and help Petroleum Company achieve low-cost development strategy.This article is basis on the investigation of domestic and abroad mobile rig carrier. The main parameter of dimension, quality, power capacity are determined by modern automobile theory and mobile rig real working condition, the drive stability for the whole unit also be checked. According to the composite of mobile rig, we put emphasis on the design of power and drive system and do a match calculation for the engine and transmission. Considering the feature of multi-axle carrier driving, non independency and balance suspension and semi-rigid balance beam suspension as well as air suspension are designed. According the steering axle theory , the final steering layout and power steering plane are determined. The first double brake system is design to make sure the heavy duty carrier driving capacity and improve the brake capability. H type steel integral welded beam is used in carrier frame, infinite unit analysis software is adapted to analysis the driving and rigging situation and achieve the most optimize plan.Carrier capacity and HSE test and 100 km running test were given after fabrication finished, industrial test also be given in oilfield site. All the test show that the carrier has a reasonable design and a reliable capacity, it can satisfy the practical need of oil field greatly.
