Enterprise Community Responsibility And It's Realization

The traditional business theory pursues the principle of the supremacy of the interests of shareholders that the company's only responsibility is to maximize corporation's profit. However, this theory'dominance in the early 20th century was challenged by the "Enterprise community responsibility" doctrine. The enterprise community responsibility stands for the overall interests of social benefit, in respect of the shareholders'maximization profit, emphasize the corresponding obligation to others beside the shareholders.With China's economic developed rapidly, and business activities of enterprises has made great achievements, but the simple motive of pursuit economic efficiency of enterprises has led to enormous social problems. April 2007, pharmaceutical industry occurred "QiErYao" and "XinFu" incident. To May 29,2007, WuXi city TaiHu Lake algae outbreak, from 2008, "the SanLu milk powder incident" to the 2008 economic crisis, a large number of foreign enterprises fled to avoiding the debt and so on, and let people enjoying the material civilization bring by the industrial development zone, it also tasting of the environmental pollution caused by the bitter fruit of the incident, the protection of environment and so on are very serious problems.Painful social costs requires us to look for a path avoiding the vicious incidents recurrence, Enterprise community responsibility theory bring a ray of hope for humanity. Held in Yokohama, Japan in 2008 TICAD (the Fourth African Development Conference), given a high degree concerning about Enterprise community responsibility, re-making the academic community enhance research to Enterprise community responsibility theory, and find a reasonable path to resolve above problems.This paper starts from the definition of Enterprise community responsibility, analyzing the connotation of Enterprise community responsibility, then pose that enterprises should bear the environmental and social responsibility, labor, product safety responsibilities, corporate safety and corporate responsibility for disaster prevention, the responsibility of corporate charitable donations. The paper also analysis of the international SA8000 standard and explore the social responsibility standards in line with Chinese corporations.
