A Strategic Plan And Research On Promoting The Competitive Strength For Yingkou Port

The Premier Wen Jiabao chaired a State Council Executive Meeting on July 1st 2009.After that, the region called"Liaoning Coastal Economic Development Zone"was incorporated into national strategies. Yingkou Port is the most important strategic resource in Liaoning Costal Economic development zone."Liaoning Costal Economic Development Plan"has brought Yingkou Port opportunities as well as challenges. Therefore ,it is our important task to give a further scientific plan for Yingkou port, and analyze the environment of Yingkou Port, and make the right adjustment for the development strategy of Yingkou Port. This dissertation first gives a research on the definition of competitive strength, and studies several successful development strategy and competitive strength of the ports both from home and abroad. It will certainly supply us ideas to enhance the competiveness of Yingkou Port. Furthermore,it analyzes the competiveness of Yingkou Port status through the establishment of SWOT analyze model. Meanwhile, it analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the current situation in Yingkou Port and the opportunities and challenges on the development of Yingkou Port under the current situation. The result of the analysis shows that: the disadvantages and the major challenges for Yingkou Port is: Marginalization, a single economic sector, natural conditions, constraints and emerging competitors, alternative products increased, and the economic deterioration of the environment etc.Thirdly, the dissertation uses the basic principles of game theory to build enterprise collaborative competition game models, and gives three conditions for enterprises'innovative co-operation through analysis of the model. They are: when the expected benefits of collaborative innovation is greater than the number of inter-firm cooperation ,when other companies adopt a cooperative strategy whose probability larger etc .Under such kind of condition, Yingkou Port should adopt corporation strategy. In this conclusion, based on the combination of the actual situation of Yingkou Port, Yingkou Port should be actively working with a partnership, and to improve competitiveness of our port. Finally, the paper proposed to increase the competitiveness of Yingkou Port industrial clusters from corporate culture, trust mechanisms, technological innovation, and government functions .That will certainly improve the competitiveness of our port areas.
