Compared with industry products and consumer goods, the requirements of software are more complicated and diversified. After millennium bug in 2000 and the disassemble of STS Columbia happened, causing tremendous cost, the dependability of software attract people's attention.Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is an important method for software quality assurance. It is customer oriented and ensure the quality from the front stage of software development., transferring users' needs (UNs) to technical characteristics (TCs). Based on the traditional method of QFD, this paper combine the Grey Theory and QFD, propose an refined model of software planning house of quality (HOQ), avoiding the defect of traditional measures. This study first had a review of the research about software quality assurance and Grey Theory, summarizing the defects in current study. Then, based on the review, proposed the software planning house of quality model combining the QFD and Grey Theory. Finally, applying the improving model in the aeronautic dependable software. The application testified the effectiveness of the model. The results of this study contain:(1) The dependable requirements of software are systematically summarized;(2) A refined model of planning HOQ of software combing QFD and Grey theory is presented;(3) The improving model is applied in the aeronautic dependable software to improve the dependability.(4) A new concept called "grey planning house of quality" is put forward in the study.
