Key talent is the most valuable asset for an enterprise. An appropriate talent management will give key talents incentives to create values for the enterprise, enhance the enterprise vitality, and furthermore, increase the enterprise competition capability. Applying the theories of motivation, psychology, management science, and human resource management, this essay analyzes the existing talent management of Yunnan Unicom and suggests a more effective and efficient incentive scheme for Yunnan Unicom. My findings indicate that the non-economic incentive scheme can be better than the economic incentive scheme with regard to satisfy the needs of key talents. An effective and efficient non-economic incentive scheme should include the shared vision, the career development, the performance management, and the manager's encouragement. More specifically, the enterprise should establish a guide and an incentive scheme to the shared vision of enterprise by integration, decomposing, inculcation, movement framings. In addition, it should accelerate the professional development of talents by the continuing position design, the daily training development and the proper career management. Furthermore, the enterprise should motivate the key talents based on their performance through planning, supervision and appropriate performance evaluation. Finally, managers should thoroughly apply their theoretical management knowledge in practice to motivate the key talents. In this essay, several applicable solutions are suggested to establish the non-economic scheme for Yunnan Unicom, including the Integration Motivation Plan for Talents of Yunnan Unicom.The suitability and possible limitations of such solutions are also discussed. It is worth noting that the analysis and conclusions of this essay can be generally applied to other enterprises as well.
