A Research On Relationship Between Tourists' Environmental Awareness And Environmental Behavior

Presently people pay more and more attention for tourism, but environmental protection consciousness of tourists has been worried. Although the Chinese government and the relevant administrative departments of environmental protection continuously strengthen efforts to environmental protection, tourists'response is short of a wide range. Because the environmental awareness of tourists is not strong and the participation is low, the implementation of environmental policies has had little effect. Therefore; the important issue, which we are facing, is how to raise the environmental awareness of tourists and improve the environmental behavior of tourists. This issue also determines the sustainable development trend of tourism's future.On the basis of the relevant literature studies on Chinese and foreign environmental awareness and the environmental behavior and the basis of the analysis of the current status of people's environmental awareness and environmental practices in our country, the questions to be researched have been raised in this paper. By studying a large number of Chinese and foreign literature review and consulting Chinese domestic tourism experts and academics, this paper designed the questionnaire. In addition, Tianjin Five Roads are used as a typical case to be described and analyzed from three aspects:environmental awareness of tourists, including ethics, attitudes, attribution, subjective norms and behavioral intentions in five areas; intermediary variables, including tourists' anticipation of guilt and seriousness; environmental behavior, including environmental persuading behavior to tourists, environmental economic behavior, and environmental management behavior. Firstly, this paper analyzed the current status of the environmental awareness and environmental behavior of tourists. Secondly, this paper described and analyzed the key factors of Chinese tourists' environmental awareness and environmental behavior, hence the current status of Chinese tourists' environmental consciousness and environmental behavior. After that, further research has been analyzed to define the relevance of environmental awareness and environmental practices. Finally, we discussed the affective methods and affective level of Chinese tourists' environmental awareness to environmental practices, analyzed the shortcomings of Chinese tourists in the environmental consciousness, and proposed measures to improve environmental behavior of tourists to enhance our international reputation of the tourism industry and promote our tourism product. At the same time, this paper could be provided to the environmental education system of design science or for building environment-friendly society as a reference.
