Study On Urban Land Expansion Of TANGSHAN CITY Based On Potential Evaluation

Land resources is irreplaceable for human survival and development, dealing well with the relationship between land resources, environment and economic growth becomes an important topic to be studied and resolved urgently. At present, China is in a period of rapid development of industrialization and urbanization, urban scale "stronger and bigger" make the demand for land, in particular for the construction land increase year by year. Land resources is facing an increasing imbalance between supply and demand and pressures from the limited space and environment. At the same time, the problem such as emphasis on extension than tapping the potentiality, emphasis on scales than efficiency, and emphasis on attracting investments than planning are widespread. On one hand, urban land expansion led agricultural land non-agriculturalization significantly; on the other hand, with the urban scale expanding, the extensive use of urban land and even idle waste phenomenon is widespread. Aimless expansion of the city has greatly affected China's sustained, rapid, and healthy economic and social development, we must choose an appropriate urban space growth strategy, and change the current extensive, inefficient use of land use patterns to efficient, intensive and energy-saving.This paper is completed under the project"Land use survey and potential evaluation in downtown of TANGSHAN CITY", and select downtown of Tangshan city as the research object, promoting land intensive using and mining land using potential by means, and is targeting to research Tangshan city's expend direction based on potential fill. At the beginning of the paper, an introduction of background and research status on city extended and land using of domestic& international are made; the second part turns space evolution into a breakthrough point, analyzes the basic characteristics of urban space development. Then analize the structure, spatial distribution, intensity and status of Tangshan City urban 2008 land, on this basis, established a comprehensive evaluation model which include multiple methods such as AHP, Delphi, Multi-actor evaluation and Clustering analysis.etc. for Tangshan City urban land intensive using potential evaluation. And after that, tapping the potentiality by improve plot ratio and building density and calculation the specific potential numerical; while forecast the 2020 urban population of Tangshan City, then get the reasonable number of Tangshan City urban extended scale and the city space expand range to 2020 by scale forecast model which based on potential fill. Finally, through the comparison and analysis of the twice expansion size and spatial distrabution by forecast model based on potential evaluation support or not, and determine the improvement of Potential Evaluation to Study on Urban Land Expansion of Tangshan City.
