Empirical Study Of Effect Of Industrial Products Export On Environment Based On EKC Theory

International trade plays an extremely important role in the economy of China. Both the international trade scale and the export strength of China have been rising for approximate 30 years since the reform and opening up. As the standard of living improves, people's requirement for the environment quality becomes stricter, however, the environment pollution is becoming severer. In China, the environment pollution caused by the industry is especially serious, so appears the contradiction between trade and environment pollution. The relation between trade and environment is concerned all over the world, and it is also closely connected to the sustainable development.This paper selects data of both industrial manufacturing export and the environment pollution from 1990 to 2009. EKC theory is applied in this study of the relation between international trade and environment. This study verifies the shape of EKC curve of China by considering the export volume variable into CUBIC model, analyzes the impact of industrial manufacturing export dependence on environment, and further researches the above mentioned impact. The previous studies on this subject only applied the EKC curve, this paper applies TKC test on the base of EKC curve, which is the creative point and a breakthrough. Finally this paper puts forward some proposals for policies concerning the coordination of the international trade and environment.Some developed countries neglected the importance of protecting the environment in the rapid developing process of the economy and left some pollution problems, as the shape of the environment Kuznets curve (EKC) reflected. Whether China can draw lessons from this, and prevent in advance or adjust the environmental status quo to ensure the beneficent cycling and improving of environment along with the development of international trade, is a subject that deserve further researching and probing.
