A Study On Profit Models Of Typical Listed Companies Of Shaanxi

As Peter F. Drucker-the father of Modern Management pointed out, "today, competition between enterprises is not the competition between products, but competition between profit models." It is thus clear that profit model has become managerialists'and entrepreneurs'focus. Outstanding profit model is essential for any company that yearns for success. Therefore, contemporary companies pay much attention on searching, analyzing and improving their profit models.Listed companies have played an important role in local economic growth. The study on the profit model of listed companies of Shaanxi will benefit the companies in improving their profitability. In addition, it will help a lot in invigorating the economy in Guanzhong-Tianshui Economic Zone and advancing the development of the western region. However, the author cannot find any study on the profit model of listed companies of Shaanxi. Therefore, there is great theoretical and practical significance in this research.The thesis conducts a comparative study of the profit model of three typical listed companies of Shaanxi and three others of other provinces in China. By using the methods of literature review, case studies and comparative analysis, the thesis tries to find out and summarize the successful experience and shortcomings of the other three listed companies in their profit model to give reference to the improvement of the profit models of listed companies of Shaanxi.Firstly, the thesis puts forward research significance, research contents, research methodology, literature review on profit models abroad and at home, and thesis structure. Secondly, after a detailed one-by-one analysis of the three typical listed companies of Shaanxi and three others of other provinces, the thesis makes a comparative analysis of their profit model. Thirdly, the thesis sums up common problems existing in the three listed companies of Shaanxi, and successful experience of the other three listed companies which companies of Shaanxi should learn from. Furthermore, it gives useful suggestions for Shaanxi government in terms of supporting the development of the companies.Profit models can be modified, improved and perfected, and they can't be right or wrong, advanced or backward. All that matters is to find out a suitable profit model for a company. The thesis aims at finding out co-existing problems in listed companies of Shaanxi and bringing forth new ideas for their profit model design.
