Since the first safe elevator was invented in 1853 around the world, the elevator industry has developed over more than one hundred years and become a huge industry. Take the elevator industry in China for example, the sales volume goes to 30,000 units and the income goes to 750billion.More mature the elevator industry becomes;greater the competition there is.Currently, there are more than 200 elevator band-joint-venture or national brands.To get larger market share, greater competition has been started in technology, quality, price and aftersales.XIAO is an elevator brand started its business earlier in China. From the perspectives of brand names, market share or company size, the brand is on the front line with in the industry. The company was found in1997.XIAO has been always focused on developing distribution network. It also uses agencies in the sales channels,which adapts the market and makes XIAO top 3 in the market for years.Dalian was the earliest open city among the coastal cities with great market development potential, which gathered attentions from every elevator manufactures.Front line bands built direct office to enhance marketing strength and improve after sales service in Dalian. Even second line brand built up agencies to develop sales channels and distributors.As one of the front line band in the elevator industry, XIAO could not reach its expectation in Dalian. The market share has been lower than the national average.To develop the market in Dalian better, this paper started to study sales channel by analyzing the status of the current market competition and XIAO itself. To dig out the problem helps with generating the improvement methods.Completed and effective sales channel played important role in market developing. To choose appropriate sales channel forms is the key of sales work. At the same time, to build and maintain the sales channel is crucial to the functions of the sales channels.
