With the new round of telecom industry restructuring and the issuance of 3G operating licenses, the Chinese telecommunication industry, China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom, shows a all-business operating tripartite confrontation. In such a situation, the merging of fixed and mobile networks will bring more opportunities for new product development, but the personalized, diversified and sophisticated customer demands will bring more challenges for new product development. Good new product developing process and managing system can effectively improve the success rate of new product development, enabling enterprises to win more market competitive advantage.The thesis is based on the perspective of Liaoning Unicom, taking the new product's development and management as the research object, adopting the method of qualitative analysis and case analysis method, First of all, make a brief review to the applied theories of new product development and management; secondly, introduce Liaoning Unicorn's current situation of new product development and management, pointing out as well as analysing the problems; finally, putting forward three proposals and measures, one is to establish a customer-oriented products creative mechanism, and second, to optimize new product developing process with Stage-Gate System; third is to build after-market life cycle management system.The innovation of this paper is applying general customer demand managing methods, the theory of Path Management and Product Lifecycle to telecom companies'new product developing and managing, furthermore, providing the telecom companies with reference model; optimizing and improving Liaoning Unicorn's new products developing process with theory, making it more scientific and standardized.
