Process Research And Improvement Of A Company's New Products Development Based On Stage-gate Method

In the face of fierce market competition,it is essential that launch new products quickly with a relative lower costs for enterprise.With globalization of economic and technology,the competition is becoming more and more excited,furthermore,individual demand of customers and the variability of the market also intensified the competition.Enterprises,especially some small and medium-sized private enterprises,have to continue to develop new products to keep their competitive and maintain a domain position in the market.Some small and medium-sized private enterprises are facing a lot of challenges,such as management ability is insufficient,funds and talents shortage etc.So if these companies want to develop new products,a scientific development process was the most important guarantee.In this paper,combined the situation of the author's company(A company),a detailed analysis of A company's problems and their reasons in new product development management had been done.Therefore,a new product development process was designed to guide and standardize A company's new products development work,based on the theory of the Stage-Gate and the modern characteristics of project management.Stage-Gate methods and theories of new products development,and Contents and characteristics of A company's new products development process was detailed described and introduced.And in this paper,take super gravity desulphurization in coal-fired power plant exhaust dust removal equipment development projects as an example,to illustrate the method based on Stage-Gate mark was an important assurance of new products developed.
