Analysis On The Education Status, Problems And Measures Of Hotel Professionals In Suzhou Higher Vocational School

With the development of Suzhou hotel industry, educating and cultivating hotel professionals has become an important component in tourism industry. To keep up with the fierce competition, educating hotel management professionals who meet social needs has become an urgent and arduous task which is facing with the Tourism Major in Higher Vocational School.Based on the theory of higher vocational school education, this thesis analyzes higher vocational education as well as the concept of professional cultivation mode. Through the demonstration research on Suzhou hotel industry and higher vocational school, as well as the investigation of the needs of Suzhou hotel professionals, this thesis finds out the demand of professional educating from the angle of enterprises, analyzing the professional standards of hotels in Suzhou and professional cultivation modes in tourism school. Referring to the advanced hotel education concepts in Lausanne College and Cornell University abroad, demonstrating on the problems in teaching and management of Suzhou higher vocational school, this paper brings forward a series of practical reforming measures to provide basis for the education of Suzhou hotel professionals. At last this paper puts forward some macro measures to complete the above strategy with the hope of strengthen professional cultivation mode and curriculum reform; suggests that enterprises strengthen the direction to the hotel education, establish human-capital mechanism to provide students training opportunity and promoting room in the long term; higher vocational school itself should conduct education system reform, establish smooth professional information platform in order to promote students employment, strengthen major construction, ensure the professionals educational quality of Suzhou hotel enterprises.Some conclusions from the investigation and research provide new concepts for the development of Suzhou traditional tourism education, promote the teaching quality for tourism management major in Suzhou higher vocational school, play some enlightening role in teaching reform of tourism management major in Suzhou higher vocational school.
