This thesis explicitly expounds that the target of senior high vocational school is to develop applied talents with technical skills and abilities by exploring the present situations and significance of high vocational education and the conditions of vocational school students and examining the main problems emerging from the reform of Economic Mathematics, thus strengthening the consciousness of vocational school students' conditions and the teaching and learning of Economic Mathematics, and revealing the necessity and urgency of the construction of the course and the reform of teaching methods in Economic Mathematics. The thesis claims that only by improving the construction of the course and the reform of the teaching methods can the realization of the goal of talents development be guaranteed.Investigating in a full range the inaccurate positioning of vocational education by combining the official documents and the educational development in advanced countries, the author of the thesis is aware of the disharmony between the teaching mode and the goal of talents development in vocational education. To achieve the goal of talents development in senior vocational school, there should be the teaching methods of Economic Mathematics with characteristics of senior vocational school.The thesis surveys the weaknesses and limitations of Economic Mathematics and its teaching methods in achieving the goal of talents development. Aspects of the traditional course content: In traditional economic mathematics course, too much importance was attached only to theories, which neglected the actual background of the concepts and the actual application of the methods. It cut off the relationship of mathematic theories and methods with the realistic world. Under this traditional way, the content of this course lacked, particularly, the bridge that combines professional knowledge and professional fulfillment together. No attention was fostered to cultivate the students' consciousness and abilities of using their mathematic knowledge resolve to actual problems. Therefore, the great majority of student fell that although they have gained much knowledge of economic mathematics still do not know how to use it. Aspects of traditional teaching methodology: In the first place, the teaching means is unitary, especially it lacks the usage of computer, In the second place, the content of mathematics which is teach in class is not combined closely...
