The Study On The Risk Management Of Consumer Credit In Chinese Commercial Banks

At present stage of China's economic development, further development of consumption credit business will not only upgrade the living standards arid improve the living quality of urban residents, but is of great importance to boost spending and domestic production, support the fast and sustained national economy growth, make adjustments on the credit structure and enhance the credit assets quality of commercial banks.However, in the process of commercial bank consumption credit business development, various related business risks are appearing constantly due to the distemperedness of external environment and the defectiveness of internal structure and management. Being confronted with the constantly changing economic environment, it is an everlasting subject for China's commercial banks to effectively control and remediate risk over the consumption credit business, to enhance risk management, and to accelerate the healthy development of consumption credit business.This paper firstly sets forth the risk management principles of commercial bank consumption credit business, and then elaborates the status of development of China's commercial bank consumption credit business, its expressive forms and characteristics. Further more, it makes a comprehensive analysis discussion on the problems and reasons of China's consumption credit business risk management, and concludes that these problems are mainly resulted from lack of overall management consciousness, over-emphasis of business development, unreasonable management organization, inadequate use of information system function, distempered laws and regulations, and insufficient monitoring over intermediate bodies. At last, this paper proposes respective suggestions to improve China's commercial bank consumption credit business risk management.
