Developing Evaluation Index System And Comprehensive Evaluation Methods For Green Convention And Exhibition On Circular Economy

With the development of political, economical and cultural exchanges among countries in the world, convention & exhibition industry which takes convention and exhibition as its main body has achieved a rapide growth worldwide, and made great promoting on tourism industry and national economy of many countries. As a image card, more and more cities are paying attention to convention & exhibition industry. However, with the rapid development of convention & exhibition industry, it generates so many waste and rubbish in a few days, that not only causes tremendous damage to the environment, but also costs a lot of resources and energy. As human pay more attention to the environment and resources, the voice of developing green convention and exhibition has appeared.《Green Convention Guide (2005)》issued in Third Urban Forum hold in Vancouver of Canada in 2005 is the most detailed and feasible green meeting guide in the world. Climate change and greenhouse effect are the hot topics in 2007 Davos Forum, the main topics are new energy development, reducing carbon dioxide, improving energy efficiency and so on. This is the another involving countries and industry about pro-environment following the green revolution since 1960. In 2010, to host the World Expo, china prepared《Green Guide Shanghai World Expo, China 2010》. So "Green Conventiong & Exhibition" inevitable choice for Conventiong & Exhibition sustainable development in the 21st Century. Now "Green Conventiong & Exhibition" is in exploration stage, most of the studies are focused on development approach of "Green Conventiong & Exhibition", evaluation system as its basic, only few people studied.Theory of circular economy was put forward by an American economist in 60 years of the 19th century, its core is "3R" principles, in the process of economic development, "reduce", "recycle" and "reuse" investment of resources, improving resource utilization, reducing waste emissions, changing the traditional mode of development form "high extraction, low use, high emission" to "low extraction, high use, low emissions". Facing of increasingly severe resource and environmental problems, as the best model for the sustainable development strategy, circular economy is attentted by scholars, and be uesed in many fields.This paper, based on the theory of circular economy, proposes Green Conventiong & Exhibition development model, construct evaluation index system, calculate the index weight, at last, make a comprehensive evaluation method about a level of development of Green Conventiong & Exhibition.There are five parts in this paper:The first section is the exordium, which has elaborated the reesearch background, research significance, methods, category and frameworks.The second section is the literature review. This part based on reading a lot of literatures, has reviewed domestic and foreign circular economy, tourism circular economy and relating green conventiong & exhibitiong,. The research on circular economy is more earlier and deeper, most studies focus on the regional level, less on micro level. About evaluation index, although there is no unified system, there are many researches. The application of circular economy in the tourism industry focused on the development and protection of tourism resources, and tourism business management, etc. Now the studies on green convention & exhibitiong at home and abroad are less, foreign research paid more attention to the practical application and is focused on establishing a green exhibition hall building and green guide. Our studies are focused on building development approach and its system of green convention and exhibition, some scholars began to introduce the theory of circular economy in the Exhibition Industry Research. Throughout the reviewed, though there is no researches about evaluation index system of the green conventiong & exhibition in circular economy, the domestic and foreign studies on circular economy and tourism circular economy can ba one of the references for extracting indicators.The third section is the statement of the research design. As an exploratory research, the thesis has used qualitative and quantative research methods, and qualitative research methods are mainly in-depth interview and modified Delphi method, quantative rasearch method is the survey questionnaire. Meanwhile this thesis has built the evaluation system of circular economy, and tourism circular economy circular economy, with characteristics of the exhibition industry, building its development model of circular economy, then selecting indicators, buiding the initial formation of the index system, and do further empirical research, using software target system to do the reliability and validity analysis, and further streamlining of additional indicators, at last building a green conventiong & exhibition evaluation system under the circular economy.The fourth section has determined the index weight based on AHP, then using linear weighted method, made each indicator together, constructed comprehensive evaluation method about the level, of development of green convention and exhibition, and build five stages of development model of green convention and exhibition.The last section in the conclusions and prospects of the paper. By tryig building evaluation index system and comprehensive evaluation based on circular economy, concluding the main ideas of the thesis. Finally, the limitations and follow-up research prospects are analyzed.
