With the improvement of the market economy system and deepening reform of labor personnel system, Human Resources Management and its concept has been widely accepted, Performance Appraisal is key core and basis to human resources management. Staff training and the post configurations are based on performance assessment; Staff Performance Appraisal and Salary are also based on performance appraisal. The promotion of staff is based on performance appraisal; scientific, fair and reasonable performance appraisal play an important role in human resources management, including guiding, motivating, communication and feedback. Traditional performance appraisal have many limitations:overlook the importance of courses, the subjective evaluation which cannot reflect the fairness of performance test. Therefore, as for the enterprise, the importance of performance appraisal is beyond undoubtedly, but the design of performance appraisal will meet the actual needs.The author aims to provide amendments for employee performance appraisals in small and medium-size private enterprises, making performance appraisals of Bearing Manufacture company KY as a case. First, the exiting performance appraisal rules and the actual data of Bearing Manufacture Company KY constitute the research subject of this study, using SPSS statistical analysis software for consolidating and simplifying the existing performance appraisal criteria by using Component Analysis. Second, combining the new comprehensive indicator with the original functional testing standards into the structure of strata, analyzing and handling the data accordingly by AHP in order to determine the weight of the indicators; Thirdly, suggesting Bearing Manufacture Company KY to combine the weight with performance indicators by using weighted method to calculate the total value of staff performance, which is a accounting way to calculate results,on the basis, managers can sot the results which can reflect a fair and objective sequence. Then Bearing Manufacture Company KY can carry out the performance appraisal, and put forward the proposals and implementations of the opinions to the performance appraisal system, especially the system in the implementation process needs attention on some question possible to happen. Finally, put forward some suggestions and amendments to the future work for small and medium-size private enterprises.
