The hard of SMEs financing is a major bottleneck of constraining of rapid and healthy development of SMEs themselves. It is very important to analysis the competitive advantage of different scale banks in SMEs business for defining their market positioning and developing the SMEs loans which are consistent with their own characteristics of scale. It is also a key issue to avoid market gaps or over-competition in the SMEs loan market.Chapter 1 described the meaning and purpose of the full text. The article determined three kinds of research methods which are comparative analysis method, empirical analysis method and case studies:Chapter 2 introduced the situation of SMEs and credit facilities of SMEs. The paper analyzed theories of bank lending to SMEs. Finally, this article introduced situation of SME loans.Chapter 3 analyzed the competitive advantages of SMEs loans from different scales of banks. This is key chapter of the whole paper. First, we built a model to analyze the factors of SMEs loans from bank angle. Second, we identified three factors which were information superiority, technology and risk management. Finally, we confirmed the previous conclusion through analysis of economies of scale and loan data of SMEs lending.Chapter 4 described three cases of banking financial services franchise institutions of SMEs. Through these three examples, we illustrated the importance of analyzing the competitive advantage of SMEs lending from large banks and small banks. It also provided a good reference for the development of SMEs for other similar-sized banks.As a final chapter, Chapter 5 summarized the conclusions of the whole paper and recommended policy advices of developing SMEs loan business.
