| With the macroeconomic environment of globalization in the 21 st century, Chinese enterprises have unprecedented demand for high-quality personnel urgently. Management training, as an important means of personnel training, has been a great boost to enterprises'development. However, present training agencies on the market vary greatly in qualification, resulting in sharp differences in their training efficiency which in turn incurs more fierce competition. Thus competition strategy has become a top priority of management training agencies.On the basis of Michael Porter's competition strategy has this study been conceived. Through case studies, research, comparative analysis and other methods this study analyzes the opportunities and challenges, advantages and disadvantages of the competition strategy of EPD Project at NW Business School. Firstly, it has an overview of relative theories of competition strategy, focusing on the development of the concept of competition strategy, the development of its relative theories and their contents of the theories. Secondly, it uses PEST and Five Farces Models to analyze the macro environment and industry environment of EDP Project. Thirdly, it analyzes strengthens and weaknesses of inner resources in EPD Project of NW Business School. At last, it summarizes the possible choices of competition strategy and puts forward the policies to implement.This research will provide a theoretical reference to the strategic positioning for other business schools'EPD projects and will offer a certain reference to the choice of competition strategy for training agencies and business schools in the western areas. |
