ABSTRACT:As the most dynamic financial innovation in today's international capital markets, asset securitization is now extensively used in different social fields and became one of the main financing technologies. It is also getting more and more concerns in China after the study and application started more than a decade ago. country. Aiming at the financial straits many public universities and colleges have been confronted with, this paper attempts to introduce the innovative financing method to them for a brand new and comparatively reliable financing channel which would hopefully be illuminating.Based on the theory and application achievements on asset securitization both home and abroad, the paper analyses the present asset structure and financial support of public universities and colleges, especially the distinguishing features lies between them and enterprises or banks, and then comes to a conclusion that the asset of public universities and colleges is suitable for securitization.Then the paper designs the whole structure, operation modes and every section in detail, as well as suggesting apply securitization in building new school campus as the sally port in practice. Finally the problems and possible risks might emerge in the process of the securitization are discussed, and some response strategies are proposed.
