With the increased requirements of resources and energy efficiency, our country pay more and more attention on energy saving. Besides this, customers prefer to high quality products, short-term ability to deliver the product. Manufacturing system as the fundamental aspects of the manufacturing process plays more and more importance in enterprises. How to optimize the manufacturing system, thereby reduc-ing production hours, improving production efficiency and timely delivering of the product to customers have been the focus of scientific research units.At the same time, the major manufacturing equipment——machine tools has become more and more important:high-speed and high-precision, flexibility, integration is the development direction of modern CNC machine tools:all kinds of processing functions can be integrated in one machine. In order to fully display machining flexibility, all the processing function is integrated in a machine, which can realize a fixture that the machine can meet the requirement of different workpieces of different processing. So the machining center, it is suitable for the emergence of this trend, and cooperate with diverse and individuation development of the product. The flexible manufacturing cell composed by machining centers is widely used in the enterpriseSo in this paper the study is based on the background that flexible manufacturing systems become more widely used, proposing problem:how to assign the Processs to the machining centers to minimize the processing time assigned to each machining centers. The purpose in line balancing is to find a way to distribute the total workload on the production line as evenly as possible among machines to realize the minimum of production time. A mixed integer nonlinear programming model is established. Taking into account that the mathematical methods is difficult to solve, various methods of production line balancing is investigated, the heuristic algorithm and genetic algorithm is investigated, and with the apply of the genetic algorithm the optimal solution can be obtained more accessible. So the paper applies this method to minimize the smoothness index to obtain the multi-machine production line load of equalization. First, for a single product load balancing, a multi-machine multi-process model is proposed, on the basis of the genetic algorithm principle, the concrete steps of the algorithm was designed. Second for the type of multi-product processing, as it relates to processing sequence problem of multiple products, this paper analyzes this issue, and establishes a specific mathematical model. The model is established based on the least number of switching and minimizing the difference between the ideal and the actual processing volume in a relative processing cycle. The proposed algorithm tries to obtain a solution with the smallest cycle time.Finally, specific examples of the solution method is validated. It can be seen: compared to the traditional way, the program can solve work elements assignment problem for minimizing operation time of the business needs.
