In recent years, our country from the major bridge engineering construction to the construction of the powerful country move forward. The sustainable development has become the international field of structural engineering, environmental and economic development is the important question to promote the bridge engineering construction for sustainable development, meanwhile,depend on the analysis of environmental problems from the bridge engineering construction, the bridge engineering life cycle cost of the environmental impact analysis gradually turn into the hot of domestic and international studies.Although our county carried out the life cycle cost of environmental impact analysis research in the field of material industry and ecological products, for the bridge engineering, which is still in the stage of exploration, therefore, it is necessary to systematically research life cycle cost of environmental impact analysis of the bridge engineering.The research project is funded by the Nature Science Foundation of Hubei Province in China"Research on life cycle assessment of environmental impact method of the bridge engineering"(2008CDB367), and the Yezhi Lake Bridge in Wuhan was analyzed as a typical case, in order to protect the environment and reduce the bridge engineering life cycle cost of the environmental impact, carried out the bridge engineering life cycle cost of the environmental impact analyses based on theory of Life Cycle Assessment an Life Cycle Cost Analysis, to build the life cycle environmental impact cost analysis model of bridge engineering, the main research results are as follows:1. Based on the the bridge engineering life cycle environmental impact factors diversity and complexity, combining life cycle assessment and life cycle cost analysis theory, according to the principles of science and integrity, life cycle environmental impact costs of Bridge engineering was categorized into 5 types:cost of resource consumption, cost of water pollution, cost of air pollution, cost of noise pollution and cost of solid waste pollution, to build the indexes system of bridge engineering life cycle environmental impact cost analysis.2. The bridge engineering life was divided into 5 stages:bridge design, raw materials production and processing, construction, operation, and demolition. For the types and characteristics of life cycle environmental impact cost of each phase, confirming the calculating methods of the different stages of the environmental impact indicators,it will transite the environment loads into the economic value. Comprehensive analysis bridge engineering environmental impact cost in the stage of life cycle to build the bridge engineering life cycle environmental impact cost analysis model.3. The Yezhi Lake Bridge in Wuhan was analyzed as a typical case study. The results show that the environmental impact cost of raw material production and processing stage is the largest among the life cycle of the Yezhi Lake Bridge, and the environmental impact cost of resource consumption is obvious in all environmental impact costs. The method can be used to quantify the environmental impact cost of a bridge in its life cycle for the bridge project environmental impact evaluation.
