Seaport cluster supply chain is a supply chain network system based on the industry clusters, which had developed rapidly in theoretical and practical in recent years. Industry cluster and supply chain are used widely in every countries which want to develop their economics. Both theoretics focuses on improving the competitiveness of firm in the industry in the different aspect. According to some features of seaport cluster supply chain, this paper tries to use game theory to analyze the competition and cooperation in cluster supply chain in order to provide decision advices for enterprises in industry clusters. There have two objectives in this research. The first one is to contribute to the theoretical knowledge on the factors that govern the performance of seaport cluster supply chain management. Even though clusters have recently been studied widely, but the theoretical knowledge on clusters supply chain management, especially theoretical about seaport clusters, is still fragmented and lack of case studies. The second research objective is to contribute the theoretical and empirical knowledge on supply chain management, by developing some models to try to analyze the competition exist in the seaport clusters. The study consists of an introduction and three parts:a theoretical part, an empirical part and a concluding part. The theoretical part, comprising chapters 2-4, answers the question of the theoretical research. In chapter two the concept of seaport cluster and supply chain is discussed and in chapter three the characteristic of the seaport cluster supply chain is addressed. In chapter four a theoretical framework to analyze the performance and relationship of competition and cooperation is presented. Central in this framework is to introduce a clear understanding of both the differences and the interconnections between competition and cooperation. The empirical part, comprising chapters 5-6, answers the empirical research question. Chapter five presents the research method and model. Chapter six deals with port clusters and introduces a model, which discusses the profit distribution tactic between participant in seaport cluster supply chain. In chapter seven, the research issues for analyzing the performance of seaport clusters are identified. The description of the case studies of Dalian seaport with regard to the effects of cluster structure on the cluster performance and opportunities for policy and management in seaport clusters are discussed. The concluding part consists of chapters 8. In this chapter the most important conclusions are highlighted and suggestions for further research are presented.
