Order Picking is an operation by the requirement of order, selected items from the storage sites, and placed in the designated location. It is one of the most important parts in the logistics center. As the meeting point of storage,packaging,distribution,order processing and customer demands, proposed high requirements to resource, is the most sensitive part to customer demands. Optimization to the order picking, not only can improved the logistics management and the efficiency inside a logistics center, but also can improved significantly the efficiency of the whole supply chain, reduced the cost of the supply chain, made the supply chain to provide better service, speeded up the pace of development of the supply chain.Order Picking contains the whole process of deal with the orders,defined the storage sites,picked out items from shelf through moving and placed in the designated location. Correspondingly, the optimization of order picking mainly involved order processing,storage sites assigned,route of order picking optimization,resources optimization and so on. This thesis according to the actual situation in a logistics center as the background, made optimization in order processing and route of order picking. In the order processing aspect, this thesis contrary to the characteristic of picking lists in this logistics center, used the style of batching picking lists. Aimed the shortest total length of picking route as objective function, used the capacity of picking vehicles as constraints, established a 0-1 programming model, to batch all of the picking lists, and then via C-W to get the solution. In the route of order picking optimization aspect, this thesis based on the batching model, referenced TSP, made the secondary optimization to the picking route, and then via AS to get the solution. But AS has some shortages such as slow convergence rate in the beginning of the algorithm and easily fell into a local optimal solution. This thesis referenced ACS and MMAS, made some improve on AS.Through an example, compared to an un-batched order picking operation, after the batching model, the total length of picking route shortened about one-thirds, after the optimization model of the picking route, the total length shortened almost half, showed the significant optimal solution.
