The Study On The Intra-Industry Trade Of Manufactures Between China And The Five Main Countries Of Asean

East Asia's increasingly close economic relations and frequency of the external market crisis prompted East Asian countries to strengthen their economic cooperations. East Asian countries are also strengthening subregional cooperations while promoting cooperation across the region. Of all the East Asia's subregional cooperations, it is China - ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA) that has got the most achievements.In CAFTA, the development of the intra-industry trade of manufactures between China and ASEAN is the most eye-catching. The development of the intra-industry trade of manufactures can strengthen the complementarity within the industry,expand free trade,reduce the costs of industrial restructuring,reduce trade friction,and significantly increase the effects of economic integration. It can be said that the development of the intra-industry trade of manufactures between China and ASEAN will be an important mechanism to promote an in-depth development of CAFTA .So the issue has important theoretical and practical significances.In this paper, the approach of a combination of theoretical and empirical research will be used: firstly, the definition,classification,cause and the effect of economic integration of the intra-industry trade of manufactures will be sorted out, and also,the applicability of these theories will be studied; second, status,characteristics,factors and effects of economic integration of the intra-industry trade of manufactures between China and the five main countries of ASEAN will be studied on the basis of the intra-industry trade theories, and conclusions will be drawed.Innovations of this paper are mainly reflected in research methods and perspectives. Methods: firstly, the variables selected will be innovated when factors affecting the intra-industry trade of manufactures of both sides are studied in the empirical analysis,and it will be the first time that factor of economic integration are taken into consideration ; second, it will be the first time to take an empirical test about the effects of economic integration of the development of intra-industry trade of manufactures of both sides. Perspectives:through theoretical and empirical analysis concludes,we will know that although the intra-industry trade of manufactures between China and the five main countries of ASEAN has a strong effect of economic integration, construction of the development of CAFTA trade on the intra-industry trade of manufactures is negative. Then this paper puts forward suggestions.
