China and South Korea are the two major economies in East Asia. The trade betweenthe two countries plays an important role in the process of economic rising, regionalstability, harmony and prosperity of the entire Asia-Pacific. The bilateral trade illustratesthat industrial manufactures are the main trade products between the two countries, and asa new trade theory, intra-industry trade between the two countries also occupies a pivotalposition. Therefore, a comprehensive and systematic analysis of intra-industry tradesituation and its influence factors between China and South Korea is very important to thefurther development of bilateral trade and stability.This article will make comprehensive analysis of theoretical and empirical to analyzethe development situation of the intra-industry trade among China and South Korea. Firstly,this subject summarizes the theory of previous research, and its associated measureindicators. Secondly, through large amounts of data processing and graphics contrast, thearticle Estimates the level of intra-industry trade in China and South Korea by the use ofdifferent indexes, and made a comparative analysis of the estimation results of the differentindicators within the GL index and Aquino index. Then, on the basis of the results of thereference, also combined with the actual situation of China-ROK trade, the thesis analyzesthe impact factor of China-ROK intra-industry trade from four levels, which includesmarket, industry, national and regional. Also the problems between China and South Koreatrade are listed. Finally, according to the previous issue of the Sino-Korean trade,development strategies and recommendations for the intra-industry trade between Chinaand South Korea are given.The study shows that the level of intra-industry trade measured by the GL indexbetween China and South Korea is low, and the trade performs mostly vertical intra-industry trade, while the amendment GL index reveals a high level intra-industry tradewithin China and South Korea. In terms of impact factors, factor endowments, industrialstructure and the per capita GDP difference remain a constraint for the level of growth ofintra-industry trade in China and South Korea.
