The Research Of Influence Factors To Multinational Corporation's R&D Investment In Zhejiang

A great deal of domestic and abroad studies found that resources, market and policy environment in host country have significant impact on MNC's R&D investment. Areas which have good R&D investment environment will certainly attract lots of R&D investment from MNC. By taking Zhejiang's influence factors to MNC's R&D investment as the research object, this paper discusses how these influence factors impact on the MNC's R&D investment in Zhejiang. Then, this paper puts forward practical advice on how to improve Zhejiang's R&D investment environment according to the research results.Firstly, this paper shows the background and significance of the research. Secondly, based on the studies at home and abroad, this paper proposed the research framework and methods. Thirdly, this paper using statistical analysis software SPSS 16.0 and Eviews5.0 analyze the data which have been collected and processed. In the end, according to the empirical analysis results, this paper discusses the relationship between Zhejiang's influence factors and MNC's R&D investment, a related conclusion is drawn from the analyze results.By the empirical analysis, the research conclusions are as follows: Zhejiang's resources factor and R&D external environment factor are the mean influence factors to MNC's R&D invest in Zhejiang, and the market factor of Zhejiang is not the important factor to attract MNC's R&D investment. The resources factor includes human resources quality, scientific research level and R&D personnel cost. The R&D external environment factor includes intellectual property protection degree and information infrastructure construction. Among these influence factors, the empirical analysis shows that human resources quality, scientific research level, intellectual property protection degree and information infrastructure construction are positively correlative with MNC's R&D investment. And the empirical analysis also shows that R&D personnel costs in Zhejiang are negatively correlative with MNC's R&D investment. Meanwhile, through the comparative analysis among Shanghai, Zhejiang and Anhui, the research shows that there are significant differences between Zhejiang and other provinces in MNC's R&D investment influence factors.Finally, according to the conclusion and the actual situation of Zhejiang province, this paper puts forward some reasonable policy advices. It is hoped that these advices could help Zhejiang improve its'R&D investment environment, strengthen its'competitiveness to attract the MNC's R&D investment.
