Influence Analysis On Urbanization To Land-use In Hohhot

Urbanization is an inevitable trend when social and economic level developed to a certain extent in a country or a region. With the accelerating of urbanization process and growing agglomeration benefits, the demand of urban land-use increased. Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, as an important center city in north China, it was significant of proposing countermeasures of optimal land-use to rationality of Hohhot.In this paper, with the data of the urbanization and land-use in 1996-2008, using AHP (the Analytic Hierarchy Process) and SAS(Statistical Analysis System), analysed the relationship between urbanization and land-use development level, the results was showed that:1. In respect of urbanization level in Hohhot, it growed sustained, and it was entered the post-urbanization currently; however, the growth rates of each period there were different, individual years were low of urbanization.2. In respect of distribution of land-use, land use type areas in descending order was grassland, cultivated land, forest land, residents and industrial land, unused land, traffic land, garden plot, and water conservancy facilities land.In respect of single land use dynamics, the extent of land-use change in descending order was traffic land, residents and industrial land, water conservancy facilities land, forest land, unused land, garden plot, grassland and cultivated land. Various types of land area increased in varying degrees except cultivated land and grassland. In respect of integrated land use dynamic degree, the extent of land-use change was drastic in type; the level of activity was higher overall.In respect of intensive of land-use, the level was on the rise. It was in the appropriate use of the process of transition to the intensive use; however, the growth rates were difference in time.3. In respect of urbanization and related land-use types, changes in the areas of grassland and cultivated land possessed a negative correlation with urbanization level, changes in the areas of forest land, garden plot, residents and industrial land, traffic land, water conservancy facilities land and unused land possessed a positive correlation with urbanization level.In respect of urbanization and related intensive of land-use, their positive correlation was in strong linear relationship. With the improvement of the urbanization level of the city Hohhot, the urban land use degree was showing a gradual.
