Hohhot Urbanization Quality Research

In modern society, the city as a human social civilization region,more and more be given a more profound meaning. From the beginning of the industrial revolution, large-scale urbanization is never stopped in the development of human activities, each country must experience the urbanization process in the course of industrialization stage. Urbanization to accelerate the development of social economy and culture and the progress of human civilization, this is a big trend of human development,therefore, the level of urbanization is an important symbol to measure a country’s social and economic development level. The level of China urbanization reached 51.27% in 2011, it is first time that the number of China’s urban population exceeded the number of rural population, the time of start of the urbanization of our country compared developed countries to is relatively late, but the urbanization development speed is very fast, which makes China met more serious and prominent problem in the process.Firstly, the urbanization development speed is too fast, a large number of rural population into the cities, which have a great impact on the urban function structure. The urban population increase, but also makes the relative number of urban infrastructure to reduce the life quality of the people.Secondly, the social aspects problem is also more serious in the process, the gap of income between urban and rural residents is increasing, which seriously hindered the development of social harmony and stability. Finally, the problem is the gap among regions, generally, the level of eastern urbanization is significantly higher than that of the western. At the same time, the funds, person have been transferred to the eastern part which increased urbanization space unbalance. The healthy development of urbanization will affect the sustainable and stable development of national economy and urbanization of China.Because Hohhot is the capital city of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, economic development is rapid, city infrastructure construction and urban residents living level is high, the future of urbanization development foreground is very well. At the same time Hohhot is a resource-based city, has a very rich natural resources. But there are also many problems in the process of Hohhot urbanization development,such as: through the Hohhot foreign trade degree,we can know that Hohhot export-oriented degree is low, living conditions and consumption structure needs to be improved, single industrial structure,urbanization and intensive degree is low, the yuan GDP energy consumption in 2013 reached as high as 1.1 tons of standard coal,environmental pollution is serious, too much criminal cases, air quality rate fluctuations and so on. The existence of these problems prove that the quality of urbanization Hohhot level needs to be improved.The idea of this paper: firstly, analyze the research achievements of other countries the urbanization development quality, expounds the difference and relationship between the scale of urbanization and urbanization quality, and then building the evaluation index system of urbanization quality to get the quality level of Hohhot urbanization, the process of constructing the system include selected indicators and determine the weight of each index, and data collection, and accounts for the quality level of Hohhot urbanization calculated;then, to analysis the evaluation results of Hohhot urbanization quality; finally, giving the status of the urbanization quality level of Hohhot and some policy recommendations to enhance the quality of Hohhot urbanization.Analysis Hohhot 2007 to 2013 data calculation by using analytic hierarchy process, although Hohhot urbanization quality reached 81.89%at the end of 2013, but the data does not show the urbanization quality level of Hohhot has reached a very high level, because we can see through the three level index,in many aspects, there are still large gaps between the urbanization quality of Hohhot and the developed countries.Therefore, we believe that the Hohhot urbanization quality level is not real high,we need make more efforts to improve the urbanization quality level of Hohhot.
