At present, economic globalization has become the trend of the world economy, there have been many studies prove that FDI plays a very important role in promoting the economic globalization. In 2001, China, with the world economy closer link after it joined WTO , so FDI become more and more significant on our country's economy. Chongqing is located in western region of China , it attracted FDI are comparatively slow in the speed than coastal cities that affected by geography, but since Chongqing became municipality directly under the Central Government (after Beijing,Shanghai,Tianqing ), the foreign trade of Chongqing is increasing, Chongqing made a progress in ten years after it was municipality directly under the Central Government. Especially when Chongqing approved by the state council to establish the first inland bonded harbor area in 2008 , which will attract a lot of FDI to Chongqing--the western inland areas. Therefore, in recent years the FDI plays an important role in Chongqing economic development.This paper is mainly aimed at Chongqing government introduced FDI actions , and the relationship between FDI and the income gap between urban and rural area through an empirical research on comprehensive analysis. Firstly, This article make a comprehensive analysis of FDI in Chongqing. from introducing the development and structure of FDI, we can see clearly that the Chongqing FDI come where and where to go, so that we can clearly see the use of funds. Secondly, based on the regional competition and allocation of resources perspective, we analyze the behavior of Chongqing municipal government in the introduction of FDI, and give the"two stage"hypothesis. Then this paper examines whether FDI to Chongqing economics can share by Chongqing'people. Chongqing is a big city with large rural coexist city where urban and rural residents' income has very big disparity, therefore, we illustrate between FDI and urban-rural income disparity whether correlativity exists through the establishment model and empirical studies. Finally, according to the specific circumstances of Chongqing, We give some Suggestions on the introduction and how to better use FDI in future.
