Several decades after the advent of ERP(Enterprise Resources Planning) systems, this integrated type of management information system has gradually sweeped the world and been favored by more and more companies. ERP system has become the most important field of IT applications and maintained a stable momentum of development with a broad space for development. ERP systems are designed to address the problems of information silos and enhance the market influence. Successful use of ERP system is an effective way to increase company performance. Unfortunately, the implemetation of ERP system has suffered from low success rate and low yields, especially in China. This problem has caused many companies to abandon their initiative ERP implementation plan or narrow the scope of ERP implentation. How to improve the success rate and output rate of ERP system implemetation has arouse great passion of scholars, research in this field has gradually became one of the hotspots.Combined the motivation with CSFs(Critical Success Factors) of ERP implemetation, this study explores the Emergence mechanism of ERP post-implemention performance. The primary goal of this study is to develop and test the derived model of ERP post-implementation performance. At the same time, we explore the impact of organizational context factors such as enterprise scale and ownership on the derived model.Based on extensive literatures synthesis with the application of meta-ethnography approach, we develop a basic derived model of ERP post-implemention performanc. Data is derived from a case survey method which combines the richness of in-depth case studies with the breath and generalizability of larger-sample empircal investigations. The model is tested empirically across a sample of 72 case studies which focus on ERP implementation. The findings of statistical analysis provide strong support for the model.Several managerial implications of this article are summarized in order to improve the practice of ERP implementation. Finally, the limitations of this study are proposed, and some suggestions for future study are made.
