A Study On The Resolution Mechanism Of Travel Disputes In Backpacking

Along with the development of the economy and the continuous improvement of the people's consumption level, Backpacking, one of the hot tourism models, is developing swiftly. However, with particularity of this form, when it is convenient for the tourism of the Backpackers, it tends to bring about disputes. Backpackers have inadequate understanding of travel disputes during the tourism, and they can not find the right solution for the disputes. This not only influences the market order of the backpacking, but also harms consumer rights.We proposed our research frame based on the review of past research works. From the aspects of both theory and practice, we defined the conception of the backpacking and the resolution mechanism of backpacking disputes, and also analyzed the problems existed in the resolution-solving process. By the means of questionair, theoretical analysis and data investigation, we seeked out the reason behind disputes, and issues existed during the progress of disputes resolution. At the same time, based on the effective disputes prevention and complaints handling system, we built the independent travel dispute resolution mechanism.To establish an effective complaints and appeals handling system by preventing backpacking tourism disputes is the key of the paper. This dispute resolution mechanism includes disputes prevention and effective complaints and appeals handling system. With the use of our frame and keep the objective to be fair and effective in mind, the disputes prevention system could be improved by market mechanisms, industry management, education and promotion. The complaints and appeals handling system could be improved by the means of four subsystems including Disputes resolution process refinement, Compliants and appeals handling organizations set-up, Professionals training, and Appeal process education.
