Research On Competitiveness Evaluation System Of Chinese Listed Transportation Enterprises

With increasingly in-depth development of economic globalization and intensive competition on the market, research on enterprise competitiveness draws more and more attention from political circles, business circles and academic circles. Transportation industry, as key infrastructure and basic industry of China's national economy, has made brilliant achievements since reform and open up. However, unprecedented competition comes with the favorable development space. Therefore, how to improve competitiveness of transportation enterprises becomes an important research subject.This paper, at first, straightened out relevant records about enterprise competitiveness. Summarize status of enterprise competitiveness and transportation enterprises competitiveness, briefly introduced connotation, dimensionality and evaluation of enterprise competitiveness,. And on this basis, raised the concept of transportation enterprise and expounded the influencing factors about environment, enterprise resources, management. And then, the initial evaluation index of this paper was formed in accordance with the modification based on the evaluation index of enterprise competitiveness made by scholars previously. Factor analysis method was adopted to determine index and weight by analyzing the 2008-2010 annual reports of 59 listed transportation enterprises, thus setting up an evaluation index system only for transportation enterprises. Finally, offer suggestions on the way to improve competitiveness of Chinese transportation enterprises after ranking and analyzing the 59 listed enterprises with this evaluation index system and summarize shortcoming of this paper and the future research direction.The evaluation index system of listed transportation enterprises.has certain theotetical and practical significance. Theoretically it makes rich for theoretical system of the transportation enterprise management, and makes up for the blank of scientific theory about transportation industry competitiveness; Practically it provides a comparatively useful tool for the transportation enterprises evaluating their own competitiveness.
