Research On Improved Calculation Method Of Elasticity Factor Of Highway Transportation Based On Dynamic Analysis Of Transportation And Economy

Transportation is a foundational and service industry in national economy, and it is a key factor of the whole economic society. Meanwhile, as a crucial component of transportation, highway transportation holds the balance of it. Elasticity factor of highway transportation reflects the dependent relationship between the growth of highway transportation and economic society development. Accurate elasticity factor can give decision makers a guidance to make the right development policies of transportation and economic society, which facilitate the coordinated development of them. Elasticity factor derives from the growth rate of transport volume divided by the growth rate of economy volume. At present, the inappropriate and single variables chosen calculating elasticity factor will lead to the failure of expression of the relationship between transportation and economic development. Therefore, the purpose of this thesis is to improve the methods of indicating the accurate elasticity factor which could improve effectively and efficiently of the highway transportation.First of all, this paper concerns on the transportation economy theory and the computational methods of elasticity factor. Based on this foundation, the dynamic relationship between highway transportation and the development of economic society is analyzed in terms of the main factors influencing the economic society development. Secondly, combining the problems existed in the elasticity factor calculation, considering the single indicator of choosing the economic volume, the computing method of dynamic elasticity factor is raised based on correspondence analysis; considering the aggregative indicator of choosing system assessment method, the computing method based on catastrophe progression is brought up, and the features and the scope of application of the two methods are summarized. At last, taking Ningxia's highway transportation elasticity factor as an example, on the basis of transportation economy theory and the dynamic relationship between highway transportation and the economic society development, author sets up the indicator systems of economic society and highway transportation development of elasticity factor calculation, and applies correspondence analysis and catastrophe progression to calculate respectively. In view of comparison, elasticity factor based on catastrophe progression is more appropriate for determining the relationship between highway transportation and the development of economic society.
