Research On The Decision-making Of Multimodal Transport Scheme Based On The Transportation Rationalization Theory

Multimodal transport has been considered as a modern transport way. It combines the advantages of various modes of transport, and integrates dispersive transport resources. Its trait of high efficiency and low consumption makes it the dominant means of transport in the international trade. How to match the appropriate mode of transport, design a reasonable solution and select the appropriate path and scheme for multimodal shippers is a core problem. Because this will not only relate to the market competition of the multimodal transport operator, but also relate to the development level of multimodal transport.This paper draws on previous theoretical research results. Look back on the development and the current situation of multimodal transport at home and abroad. Introduce the organization and operation processes of multimodal transportation. Finally, based on the transportation rationalization theory, this paper introduces the theory of AHP, and establishes the AHP model. We set the six multimodal transport schemes, which are from Changsha to New York, as examples to shows the uses of AHP in the decision-making of multimodal transport path.
